First I have to compliment the rooftop pool at the Ocean Zen Suites. The infinity pool is spacious and the view of the ocean and Cozumel in the distance is impeccable. The furniture is comfortable and extraordinarily well-made. The hotel also sets itself apart from competitors by providing filtered rain water for drinking and lavishes guests with honey-based soap and shampoo. The rain water is unlike anything I’ve ever tasted and the scent of the bath products is absolutely heavenly.
As if these were not enough, the hotel is committed to working with local communities. Much of what you find in this hotel is made in cooperation with locals and the Mayan people. The Ocean Zen Suites is a model for what other hotels should be when it comes to sustainability and assuring locals benefit from the business. I highly recommend staying at this property.
